Life As It Comes-chapters 9-11

In chapters 9-11, Patty falls in love with Daan, a Dutch neighbor of theirs up at the cabin. Mado falls in love with Sander, Daan's younger brother. Patty and Mado talk to eachother about their feelings for the boys and Mado tells Patty that she's never been kissed. While they're talking, Patty decides that she wants to tell Daan about her pregnancy. So they both make a deal with eachother: if Patty tells Daan about the baby, Mado has to kiss Sander. The next day, Patty heads into town with Daan and Mado spends the day with Sander. In the end, Patty tells Daan about the pregnancy and he is ok with it. Sander actually ends up kissing Mado. I think that it was good that Patty told him about the pregnancy because he was going to find out one way or another. I think that he might help parent the baby if their relationship becomes stronger. I predict that Sander and Mado will have a good relationship also.
